Today we’re going to be talking about Facebook flex targeting. What the hell is it I don’t know about you but the first time I heard that term! I thought it was some crazy complicated. Turns out it’s not the case someone explain it to you next couple minutes won’t even take that long. Heck it’s not even that complicated. I think it’ll make a lot of sense when I’m done explaining it. Now if you’re just getting started with social media and maybe you’re feeling a little overwhelmed by it. So OK Facebook flex targeting what the heck is it and why should we care. Well when it comes to running Facebook ads. There’s really only two pieces.
Assuming you have a decent offer that somebody actually purchased at one time what you’re selling. If you sold one unit of your service or product. You probably have a good offer the part we have to work more about is getting our offer in front of the right people because if you don’t get in front of the right people. You’re going to have high ad costs and not make a lot of sales and not convert really well. So that’s where flex targeting helps us out now to really understand it.
If you’re just getting started with Facebook ads just jump right in a power editor. It’s not a big deal when you’re in the power editor, you create a campaign and inside your campaign. You create an ad set inside your ads. You’ll see audiences and that’s where this flex targeting thing is. It’s inside the audience section when you go down to interests and behaviors it’s about halfway down on the page. This is what I’m talking about. That’s the flex targeting.
Well before flex targeting came out there really wasn’t much you could do about. I mean it’s the best Facebook could do for you with flex. So you have flex target on your count there’s nothing special to do to turn it on or anything like that as you start running Facebook ads more and more you’ll see these cases pop up where you’re going to find somebody or something and you’re going to want it and it was something else. They have to like this and that and I don’t want these people. That’s what flex targeting is all about see it wasn’t all that hard. I told you a complicated thing and there it is pretty easy for you.
